Unleash your child’s inner artist at Valley Arts! In this engaging, hands-on workshop, young creators will explore the versatile art of handbuilding using clay slabs. Our instructor will guide students through the fundamental techniques needed to transform a simple piece of clay into a charming, functional masterpiece.
During this 2-hour session, students will:
Master Handbuilding Basics: Learn how to work with clay slabs to construct a durable and decorative wall pocket.
Express Their Style: Design and personalize their creation, perfect for holding small flowers, secret trinkets, or art supplies.
Choose Their Finish: Each student will select a vibrant glaze color to give their piece a professional, finished look.
By the end of the class, every student will have a "sweet" handcrafted wall pocket ready for the kiln. Following the workshop, Valley Arts will professionally glaze and fire each piece, ensuring it is durable and beautiful. Students' work can be picked up 3-4 weeks after the workshop. You will receive an email when the piece is ready for pick up.
