DATES: February 18 - March 25, 2026
For Ages 7-14
In this six-week class you’ll learn the joy and foundations of throwing on the wheel, and handbuilding. This class is specifically for local homeschool students, aiming to build community while playing in the mud! This is a perfect class if you’ve never touched clay before or want to learn more if you have. We’ll start at the very beginning and learn about throwing, coiling, handbuilding, and more!
Classes meet once a week for 2 hour sessions.
In each class session, you will build on what you learned and made the previous week, so we strongly advise you to make sure you’ll be able to attend all class sessions before signing up.
This class is for you if:
You’re homeschooled.
You’re a complete beginner (or want to start from the beginning)!
Class Includes:
6 weeks of 2 hour classes
Includes 1 bag of clay + tools
2 round of firing all your pieces (1 bisque and 1 glaze firing)
Access to Valley Arts glazes
Two weeks after classes to finish up all your work (if a class isn't running during open hours)
Materials
Your first bag of clay comes with the class!
Wear clothes you’re comfortable getting clay on, we have aprons to help, but they only go so far.
*GOOD TO KNOW*
Installment Payment Option: Two $125.00 payments are accepted. First payment to register and the second at the 3rd class in week 3. Email if you would like to do this option @taylorart4u@gmail.com
