To Know The Artist’s Hand

_______________________________________________________

Flying in the sky

Does this not look like

The sheep’s wool

Or green moss on the rocky beds of the forest floor

Or the ripples in the sand and the ocean tide says goodbye

Or the shrub filled valleys as you look down from the Colorado mountains

Do you see His handiwork?

Behold His glory

Every artist has their “hand”.

Also known as a “signature” or “style” , something that reoccurs in their work distinguishing them from everyone else. If you walk into a gallery full of Georgia O’Keefe's work and Van Gogh you would be able to set apart each artist’s hand, between the elegantly blended strokes of O’Keefe's and the bold texture built marks of Van Gogh. Hands are consistent…not in a boring way though. More of a peaceful and safe kind of way. There are moments when a hand might change it up but the underlying handiwork of the creator is still evident; you just need to look a little deeper.

Flying is one of my favorite things…why?  Clouds.

I’ve always had a deep appreciation of the beauty of clouds especially at sunset, but the perspective you get from the sky is like none other. It’s one thing to behold the Lord's glory from below and begin to learn His hand but it's a completely different wow factor when you see it from above. Awestruct in beauty and wonder yet His hand is so evident.

In the beginning God created…

The skies declare the work of His hands….

All things were created through and for Him…

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
